ABOUT
Nour Bannout is a New York-based, North Carolina-raised designer. Her work intersects the built environment, furniture, art, and sculpture that explores a multi-scalar approach. Heavily drawn from memories, yearning, and romanticism. Influenced by her Mexican, Lebanese and Southern roots. Her work digests a sensibility that seeks nuance and authenticity in the details; in the ordinary. Such as peculiar things she sees out in the world, heritage references, preserving worlds and creating narratives to question what “beautiful” means. She is interested in old craftsmanship methods and works with wood, metal, and digital fabrication. Nour is a recent MFA graduate from Pratt Institute’s School of Design.
