ABOUT
Nour Bannout is a New York-based, North Carolina-raised designer and artist. Her work explores a multi-scalar approach that intersects the built environment, furniture, art, and sculpture
Heavily drawn from memories, yearning, and romanticism. Influenced by her Mexican, Lebanese and Southern roots. Her work digests a sensibility that seeks nuance and authenticity in the details and in the ordinary. Such as peculiar things she sees out in the wild, heritage references, preserving worlds and creating narratives to question canonical standards of beauty. She is interested in old craftsmanship methods and works with wood, metal, and digital fabrication. Nour is an MFA graduate from Pratt Institute’s School of Design.
